Prototype informationBritish Rail Class 45 "Peak" was an early attempt at a standardised express diesel. Along with their sister class 46, they were moderately successful, and paved the way for the more modern Class 47.
The Sulzer Type 4 represents all the "Peaks"; Classes 44, 45 and 46.
