[edit] Prototype information
The Johnson 115 "Spinner" Class of the Midland Railway is typical of late 19th century express locomotives. Single driving wheel designs were free-wheeling and fast as they had fewer bearings than coupled locomotives, but tractive effort was low.[edit] Similar locomotives
Similar locomotives of the same era include the GNR Stirling Single and the GWR Dean Single.
