The Junkers Ju 52 is an early aircraft in av8. 
The Ju 52/3m was developed as an airliner and medium bomber in Germany, and nearly 5000 were produced by Junkers in Germany and by other companies under licence. Its unusual corrugated aluminium skin made it a very rugged and dependable aircraft, and it remained in widespread civil and military use around the world into the 1970s. Eight of these aircraft still fly today as sightseeing aircraft.
