The grf contains smaller aircraft than those found in av8, and unlike av8 the aircraft are genericised, representing whole classes of aircraft rather than specific models. It was planned to contain half a dozen aircraft from tiny 2-seater biplanes up to private jets and 19-seat regional airliners. These aircraft are for servicing smaller towns, or just for eyecandy purposes.
As of Av8 version 2.0, smaller aircraft (down to 10 passengers in size) are being included in the main set, and General av8ion is no longer being developed.
