[edit] Information
The world's most successful purpose-designed heavy air freighter, almost a thousand of these airlifters were built in Uzbekistan between the early 1970s and late 1990s. Demand for a modernised civil version with new engines and instruments, the TD-90, has seen production recently restarted at Aviatstar in Russia.
