The Douglas DC-9 is a jet aircraft in av8.It can be optionally replaced by the British Aerospace BAC 1-11 if the appropriate parameter bit is set.

During its production life the DC-9 has undergone massive innovation. It started as a 90 seater in the sixties and got in later variants developed with up to 173 seats and got more efficient engines which have kept it popular and widely used. Nearly 2500 DC-9 was built in total.
