Robinson Pom-Pom
The Robinson Pom-Pom is a steam locomotive in the UK Revival Set.
Description and Usage
Robinson's 9J class for the Great Central Railway was a (relatively) fast and capable little engine. For games starting in 1900, the Pom-Pom is the 'jack of all trades', much faster and more powerful than the Jinty, and cheaper and with higher tractive effort than the Greyhound.
The nickname derives from a supposed similarity between the locomotives' exhaust beat and the sound of the Maxim "Pom-Pom" autocannon used in the South African War.
