- Factory: Cannot build here: must be built within 10 tiles of a town of population 500 or greater.
- Refinery: Cannot build here: must be built within 20 tiles of a town of population 300 or greater. Cannot build here: must be built below the snowline.
- Sawmill / Paper Mill: Cannot build here: must be built within 15 tiles of a town of population 300 or greater.
- Steel Mill / Copper Smelter / Rubber Works: Cannot build here: must be built within 15 tiles of a town of population 400 or greater.
- Food Processing Plant / Brewery : Cannot build here: must be built within 10 tiles of a town of population 200 or greater.
- Power Plant: Cannot build here: must be built within 20 tiles of a town of population 200 or greater.
- Fuel Depot: Cannot build here: must be built within 10 tiles of any town.
