Industries and Cargos

General Scheme

Towns accept food, passengers and mail (with additional in-town industry acceptance for water, fuel and oxygen), but only the very largest cities (two or three per map) accept goods. Goods can also be exported via launch sites.

Rockets make a lot of money on delivery, but require a long and complex chain to create and cannot be transported by train. Most other cargos are comparable to standard TTD.

Industries have stockpiles. Launch sites in particular will only use the cargos delivered to them when they have sufficient fuel and goods and a rocket to launch them in.

Primary Industries

Impact Target

In: Nothing
Out: Carbon Brick

Found only on the seas away from towns, impact targets supply raw materials launched from Earth.

Solar Array

In: Nothing
Out: Electricity

Solar Arrays produce electrical power from sunlight.

Silicate Mine

In: Nothing
Out: Silicates

Mines produce Silicates from lunar rock.

Ice Mine

In: Nothing
Out: Water

Mines produce Water from lunar ice.

Secondary Industries

Cracker

In: Water and Electricity
Out: Fuel

The Cracker produces hydrogen fuels from water.

Materials Mill

Matefac.png

In: Silicates and Carbon and Electricity (1+1+2)
Out: Materials (2)

Produces advanced materials for goods and rocket production.

Agridome

In: Carbon and Water
Out: Food and Oxygen

Grows food for towns.

Tertiary Industries

Polluter

In: (Materials or Carbon) and Electricity
Out: Goods

Produces goods for large cities or export via launch sites, or for use as rocket parts.

Rocket Factory

In: Materials and Goods
Out: Rockets

Builds Rockets.

Quaternary Industries

Launch Site

In: Goods and Fuel and Rockets
Out: Nothing

Exports Goods using Rockets.

Reservoir

In: Water and Oxygen
Out: Nothing

Stores and distributes vital supplies to the town.

Town Buildings

Vehicles

There are relatively few vehicles in the set, just enough to cover the bases, as it were. All vehicles remain available indefinitely.

Trains

Monorail

Monorails are the standard trains, used for passenger and freight transport. They come with seperate cargo and passenger carriages.

  • Coriolis Gripper

Wgt:8t Spd:50mph HP:100 Int:2045

The basic locomotive. Boxy and with an open driver's area.

  • Coriolis Express

Wgt:14t Spd:75mph HP:200 Int:2075

'Streamlined' express dual locomotive, with passenger car override graphics. Bears a slight resemblance to the LEGO monorail...

  • Coriolis Diamond

Wgt:10t Spd:60mph HP:175 Int:2080

Boxy with an enclosed driver's area.

Maglev

  • Yamasama Double Podcar

Fre:60 Wgt:10t Spd:200mph HP:500 Int:2060

Maglevs are used for fast transportation of cargo. Maglevs are built as chains of unmanned freight pod wagons.

Road Vehicles

Single

  • Yamasama ElectroChassis

Pax:20 Fre:20 Wgt:4t HP:40 Spd:30mph Int:2045

The Electrochassis is a simple 4-wheel platform with an open driver's area. It carries a cargo or passenger pod on the rear.

  • Yamasama Bubbletop

Pax:40 Fre:30 Wgt:5t HP:60 Spd:40mph Int:2085

The Bubbletop is a slicker-looking 6-wheeler, with an integrated passenger/cargo area.

Articulated

  • Multix Camel

Fre:80 Wgt:12t HP :50 Spd:20mph Int:2065

The Camel is a two-part tracked cargo transporter.

  • Multix Loadmaster

Fre:150 Wgt:15t Rct:1 HP:70 Spd:25mph Int:2090

The Loadmaster is a three-part tracked cargo transporter. It is the only land vehicle which can carry rockets.

Dust Crawlers (Ships)

Dust Crawlers are large wheeled vehicles which travel across the open lunar seas.

  • Mare Buggy

Pax:50 Fre:50 Rct:1 Spd:50mph Int:2050

A sleek-looking, relatively small four-wheeled buggy. ([1])

  • Mermaid Mare Buggy

Pax:120 Fre:150 Rct:3 Spd:60mph Int:2080

An enlarged four-wheel Mare Buggy.

  • Dust Crawler

Fre:300 Spd:25mph Int:2050

A six-wheel heavy freight vehicle, used mostly for carbon collection from impact sites. ([2], consider a loading scoop?)

  • Super Dust Crawler

Fre:450 Spd:30mph Int:2095

An enlarged Dust Crawler.

Flyers (Aircraft)

All flyers are VTOL (helicopter-like), there being no aerodynamics on the moon.

  • Moonhopper

Pax:40 Mai:10 Fre:30 Spd:360mph Int:2040

A simple pod-like spacecraft.

  • Lifter

Pax:90 Mai:20 Fre:75 Spd:488mph Int:2055

A boxier spacecraft, with a front and back unlike the spherical hopper.

  • Lifter II

Pax:120 Mai:30 Fre:100 Spd:488mph Int:2088

Slightly larger and flashier.

  • Rocket Carrier

Fre:60 Rct:2 Spd:488mph Int:2100

A framework spacecraft which carries rockets or cargo pods underneath, skycrane style.
