==Description and Usage==
Robinson's [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCR_Class_9J 9J class] for the Great Central Railway was a (relatively) fast and capable little engine. For games starting in 1900, the Pom-Pom is the 'jack of all trades', much faster and more powerful than the [[Jinty]], and cheaper and with higher tractive effort than the [[Greyhound]].

The nickname derives from a supposed similarity between the locomotives' exhaust beat and the sound of the Maxim "Pom-Pom" autocannon used in the South African War.
